Honourable Commissioner For Energy, Hon. Adeyemo Festus Ademola Commissions 45KW Solar Mini-Grid Project

In a momentous step towards a sustainable future and quest to deliver affordable and clean energy to millions of rural households living without electricity, Community Energy and Social Enterprise Limited (CESEL) in collaboration with ARADEL RENEWABLES has completed a 45 kilowatt Community Solar Mini-Grid Project in Osi, Ife South local government area.

  

The project was commissioned by Osun state Honourable Commissioner For Energy Hon. 

Festus Ademola Adeyemo on behalf of the Osun State Gov Ademola Adeleke


Speaking while commissioning the project on Tuesday, the Commissioner said the project is timely and necessary intervention in rural electrification as he observed that some residents of the area had no electricity for a while.

Hon. Festus Ademola Adeyemo, appreciated the Dr. Tolani and expressed his enthusiasm for the project. 

He acknowledged the significance of having access to reliable electricity supply in fostering socio-economic development and improving the quality of life for the people of Osun State.

Hon. Festus Ademola Adeyemo also assured the CESEL and ARADEL RENEWABLES of Governor Nurudeen Ademola Adeleke and his ministry unwavering support. 

He noted that energy is a critical enabler, which has provided advanced and developed economies through modern access to energy services the impetus that has underpinned their development and growth in economic prosperity.

Earlier, in his address the CEO, Community Energy Social Enterprise Limited (CESEL), Dr. Patrick Tolani appreciated and  acknowledged the support of Osun State Governor, His Excellency, Nurudeen Ademola Adeleke, Honourable Commissioner For Energy, Hon. Festus Ademola Adeyemo on the mini-grid project in Osi-Ife, Arajoshua, Alutierin and Olomuoja all in Ife South Local Government of the state. He highlighted how it aimed to provide reliable and sustainable electricity access to the communities, thereby empowering them with enhanced opportunities for economic growth, education, and healthcare.

 

Notable at the commissioning includes; His Royal Highness, Olosi-Sooko of Osi-Sooko, CEO CESEL, Dr. Tolani concerto; Mr Olanrewaju Daramola, General Manager (Commercial) Aradel Holdings, The permanent Secretary, Ministry of Water resources and Energy, Engineer Ajao, Director Office of Energy, Ministry of Water resources and Energy, Deputy director of the Ministry Mrs Bukola Ojo Adewumi, An Expertriat of Aradel Holdings, amongst others.
