We, the leadership of the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS), Osun State Axis, ably led by *Comrade Solomon Ayobami Abel,* is deeply saddened by the loss of a student from *Westland institutions ( Ilobu )*, who tragically lost his life to the cold hands of death due to the ongoing community clashes between Ilobu and Ifon.
We are disheartened by this senseless loss of life and condemn in the strongest terms the violence and bloodshed that has engulfed these communities. We urge all students residing in these areas to relocate immediately to safer locations until peace is restored.
We call on the Osun State Government to take immediate and decisive action to address the root causes of these clashes and to deploy all necessary security personnel to restore peace and order to the affected communities. We implore the government to engage all relevant stakeholders, including community leaders, traditional rulers, and security agencies, to find a lasting solution to these conflicts.
As a Leadership of NANS Osun Axis, we are deeply concerned about the safety and well-being of our members, and we will not stand idly by while our colleagues are being killed or displaced by senseless violence. We stand in solidarity with the family of the departed student and offer our deepest condolences during this difficult time.
We urge all students to remain calm and peaceful, but to take all necessary precautions to ensure their safety. We will continue to monitor the situation closely and will provide updates and guidance to our members as necessary.
Once again, we condemn the violence and bloodshed that has engulfed Ilobu and Ifon communities, and we call on all parties to seek a peaceful resolution to their differences.
