The leadership of the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) JCC Osun Axis extends heartfelt appreciation to the Executive Governor of Osun State, His Excellency, Senator Ademola Nurudeen Jackson Adeleke , and the Ministry of Education for their unwavering commitment to education, as demonstrated by the IMOLE Statewide Public and Private School Students SSCE Scholarship Initiative.
This initiative, which provides:
✅ ₦100,000 scholarships for the best students in each LGA,
✅ ₦500,000 educational support for both public and private schools, and
✅ A ₦1 million scholarship
for the overall best student in the state,
is a landmark program that fosters academic excellence and provides much-needed financial relief to deserving students.
Furthermore, the inclusion of exciting incentives for teachers reflects the government’s recognition of educators' invaluable role in shaping the future of our youth. This move will undoubtedly boost motivation and enhance the quality of teaching across Osun State.
CALL FOR MORE EDUCATIONAL DEVELOPMENT IN OSUN
While we celebrate this significant progress, we urge the Osun State Government to further expand and enhance the education sector through the following:
1️⃣ Scholarships & Bursaries for Tertiary Students: We call for an extension of financial aid to students in higher institutions, ensuring that financial constraints do not hinder academic progress.
2️⃣ Improved School Infrastructure: More investment in renovating and equipping classrooms, libraries, laboratories, and ICT centers will create a more conducive learning environment.
3️⃣ Enhanced Teachers' Welfare & Training: Regular capacity-building workshops, promotions, and better remuneration for teachers will sustain the high standards of education in the state.
4️⃣ Strengthening Technical & Vocational Education: Expanding skills acquisition programs will empower students with practical knowledge and self-reliance beyond academic certificates.
5️⃣ Increased Government-Student Engagement: Regular dialogue between the state government, student bodies, and educational stakeholders will help in shaping policies that directly address students' needs.
The students of Osun State remain appreciative of the current administration's efforts and look forward to more strategic policies that will elevate education in the state to greater heights.
Once again, we commend His Excellency, Senator Ademola Nurudeen Jackson Adeleke and his team for prioritizing education and urge them to continue making Osun a beacon of academic excellence.
