We, the leadership of the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) Joint Campus Council (JCC) Osun Axis under the stewardship of Comrade Solomon Ayobami Abel, are writing to express our strong opposition to the recent MTN tariff increase imposed on subscribers.
We are appalled by the lack of consideration and sensitivity shown by Airtel organization towards the plight of Nigerian students, who are already burdened by the economic hardships in the country. The tariff increase is not only unjust but also exploitative, and we will not stand idly by while our members are taken advantage of.
We demand a total reversal of the tariff increase within 48 hours from the receipt of this letter. Failure to comply with this demand will lead to a mass protest, which may result in the closure of MTN office, Osun State.
We are writing to dialogue to resolve this issue amicably, but our efforts have been met with silence and disregard. We will no longer tolerate this disregard for our concerns and the welfare of our members.
We hope that you will take our demands seriously and take immediate action to reverse the tariff increase. We are willing to take all necessary steps to protect the interests of our members and ensure that they are treated fairly.
