Powerful yesterday, powerless today. The meteoric rise and precipitous fall of Busayo Oluwole Oke serves as a stark reminder of the fleeting nature of power. As a chameleon-like politician, Oke's daily tweets and Facebook posts have inadvertently turned him into an internally displaced politician, a testament to the vanity of life.

For two decades, Oke held the esteemed position of representing Ijesha North in the House of Representatives. Yet, his tenure has been marked by a glaring lack of legislative achievements. Despite his grandiose claims of being a grassroots politician who knows every village under the 22 wards, he cannot point to a single bill signed into law or one constituency project that has benefited his constituents. This raises a crucial question: what has he achieved in two decades of service?

The silence is deafening. No bill signed into law, no constituency project – just empty promises and hollow claims. Oke's situation is a classic case of a politician who has mastered the art of rhetoric but failed to deliver tangible results.

The irony of Oke's situation is palpable. A serial defector who has jumped from PDP to APC without delivering tangible results for his people. His claims of being a popular politician are hollow without the backing of concrete achievements. As the Yoruba proverb goes, "Oba mewa igba mewa" – nobody owns tomorrow.

We challenge Wole Oke to put his money where his mouth is. If he's truly confident in his popularity, he should resign and re-contest under the platform of his new party, APC. Let's see if the people of Ijesha North will rally behind him. Until then, his claims remain unsubstantiated.

It's time for Oke to take a cue from the wise and stop embarrassing himself on social media. His story serves as a reminder of the transience of power and the importance of humility. We advise him to focus on delivering results rather than making empty claims.

To the good people of Ijesha North, we say: don't be fooled by Oke's antics. Demand more from your leaders. Hold them accountable for their actions. Remember, true leadership is not about grandstanding but about delivering tangible results.

In conclusion, Busayo Oluwole Oke's story is a cautionary tale of the dangers of becoming too comfortable in positions of authority. It's a reminder that power is fleeting, and true greatness is measured by the positive impact one leaves on their community.
