In a strategic effort to strengthen grassroots coordination and enhance organizational effectiveness, ward coordinators and unit supervisors of the Imole Grassroot Network convened for an important stakeholders’ meeting on the morning of Friday, March 28, in Ibokun, Obokun Local Government Area. The meeting, which witnessed an impressive turnout, was led by the initiator of the network, Barr. Pelumi Olajengbesi, and brought together representatives from various wards and polling units across the local government.
The gathering provided an opportunity to review ongoing grassroots mobilization efforts, harmonize strategies, and deepen engagement at the community level. Participants, visibly united in purpose and enthusiasm, filled the meeting venue as discussions centered on strengthening ward structures, improving communication, and ensuring consistent interaction with constituents in effort to the re-election of Gov. Ademola Adeleke. The atmosphere reflected strong solidarity among members, with ward coordinators and unit supervisors actively contributing ideas aimed at consolidating the network’s presence across Obokun Local Government.
In his address, Barr. Pelumi Olajengbesi commended the commitment and resilience of the coordinators and supervisors, describing them as the backbone of effective grassroots engagement. He emphasized the importance of discipline, unity, and sustained outreach, noting that meaningful political progress is built on strong community structures. He further urged members to remain focused, maintain close contact with the people, and promote inclusiveness in all their engagements while strengthening the operational capacity of the network at the polling unit level for the re-election of Gov. Ademola Adeleke.
The meeting also featured remarks from Hon. Adewumi Adeyemi Irekandu, member of the Osun State 8th Assembly, who addressed the attendees and applauded the growing strength of the Imole Grassroot Network. He encouraged participants to remain committed to grassroots mobilization, stressing that true political transformation begins from the ward and unit levels. He further charged the coordinators and supervisors to sustain unity, deepen community engagement, and continue to serve as reliable links between leadership and the people. His remarks reinforced the importance of collective responsibility and collaboration in achieving lasting political and developmental progress within Obokun Local Government.
Additionally, coordinators from different wards in the Local Government presented updates on activities within their respective areas, sharing feedback from residents and highlighting opportunities for further engagement.
