The Accord Party candidate for Ijesa North Federal Constituency, Pelumi Olajengbesi, Esq., on Wednesday paid an unscheduled condolence visit to the family of the late Ajayi Aderogba, popularly known as Rogba, his supporter who was tragically killed in Esa-Oke during the build-up to the 2026 Osun State Governorship Election.

Recall that Aderogba, an indigene and resident of Esa-Oke, was reportedly shot dead by gunmen on June 23, 2026, while preparations were ongoing for a political campaign activity in the community.

Olajengbesi, during the visit, met with the father of the deceased, Mr. Ajayi Busuyi, and other members of the bereaved family.

The family, while speaking about the painful and sudden loss of their son, expressed deep appreciation to Governor Ademola Adeleke for personally visiting them during their difficult period and for the support extended to the family following Aderogba's death.

Commiserating with the family, Olajengbesi described Aderogba's death as a painful loss that must not be forgotten.

He assured the family of his continued support and commitment to ensuring that justice is pursued through appropriate legal and security channels.

He stressed that the circumstances surrounding the death deserve proper investigation and that those found culpable must be brought to justice.

Olajengbesi further assured the family that they would not be left alone to bear the burden of their loss, promising to provide necessary support within the bounds of the law.

Meanwhile, residents and supporters trooped out in large numbers to receive and interact with the Accord Party candidate for the House of Representatives, Oriade/Obokun Federal Constituency.

They expressed appreciation for the visit and pledged their support for his candidacy ahead of the January 16, 2027, Ijesa North Federal Constituency bye-election.
