His Excellency,

Appeal for Swift Intervention to Restore Peace and Ensure the Safety of Lives and Properties in Osun State
Your Excellency,
With utmost respect and a profound sense of responsibility, the leadership of the *National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) Joint Campus Council (JCC) Osun Axis* extends warm greetings to you and commends your administration’s unwavering dedication to the growth and development of Osun State, particularly in the education sector.
We write with a deep concern regarding the escalating security situation within the state, as highlighted in your recent press conference. The potential disruption of public peace poses a significant threat to the safety of lives and properties, particularly within our student communities, across various tertiary institutions in the state. The unfolding developments, if not swiftly addressed, may jeopardize the peaceful atmosphere that has been a hallmark of our dear state.
In light of the above, we humbly implore Your Excellency to take decisive and proactive steps in collaboration with relevant security agencies to restore peace and order across Osun State. We trust in your leadership and commitment to safeguarding the lives of all citizens, especially the student population, who constitute a critical segment of the state’s future.
We further urge Your Excellency to:
1. Engage security agencies to intensify surveillance and intelligence gathering to identify and neutralize potential threats to public peace.
2. Direct the appropriate authorities to provide additional security around campuses and student communities to prevent any breakdown of law and order.
3. Facilitate stakeholder engagements to promote dialogue and peaceful resolution of the underlying issues threatening the state’s stability.
The safety and welfare of our students remain our top priority, and we believe that with your swift intervention, normalcy can be restored, allowing academic activities to resume without fear of violence or disruption.
We trust in your commitment to the rule of law and your passion for the peace and development of Osun State, and we remain confident that your administration will do everything within its constitutional powers to guarantee the safety and security of all residents.
We appreciate your attention to this matter and look forward to your swift and decisive action.
Yours in service and solidarity,
