The Secretary to the State Government of Osun, Honourable Teslim Igbalaye, has promised the renovations of the roads on the Iree to Ada axis.
The SSG, while discussing the deplorable road conditions between Ire and Ada, in a meeting, which was facilitated by the SSA on Students affairs to the Governor, affirmed the vision of the government, to make life easier for the citizens of Osun State by providing good and enviable roads.
A team of Osun State Student Union leaders met with the SSG to discuss the moribund state of the IREE to ADA route and it's negative impact on the people. The team was led by Osun NANS chairman JCC axis, Comrade Ayobami Solomon, and included in the team are AGS Zone D, NANS executive, General Secretary Zone D and the SU president,caretaker committe of IREE Poly, Comrade Olaniyi Ajoke Deborah with her delegates. During the meeting, the SSG listened to the concerns of the students and promised that the State Government would fix the bad roads very soon.
The Ire and Ada road affects over 25 communities in the Olorunda Local Government. Due to it's deplorable condition,has brought about transportation difficulties, limited access to healthcare and even negative economic impacts to the State Government.
"We are pleased that the State Government is taking our concerns seriously," Comrade Deborah said. "We expect the government to follow through on its promises and ensure that the roads are restored to a good condition."
The State Government's commitment to fixing the roads has been welcomed by the community, and many are optimistic that the issue will finally be resolved.
