FREEDOM TRULY COMES THROUGH STRUGGLE

After a long and tiring journey filled with challenges, intimidation, and even blackmail from unknown hands  I’m glad to announce that the 18 suspended students of OSSCE Ila over the peaceful protest of March 16 have finally been reinstated.

Though the reinstatement letter still carried some unnecessary wording that painted the students as “destructive,” the truth has now spoken for itself. The world already knows it was a peaceful and purposeful protest. Justice may delay, but it never dies.

First and foremost, my heartfelt appreciation goes to every member of TPC Imperial Court  a team filled with leaders and grand leaders who always stand by students when the storm rises. You all showed that true leadership is about standing firm for the truth, no matter the pressure.

To my brothers and comrades in the Patriotic Crew, your strength and constant encouragement kept me going through every moment of this battle. I’m proud to call you my family in the struggle.

I  SPECIALLY BOW TO YOUR MENTORSHIP DEAR LEADER DECENT

Special thanks to my brother, my leader, and my personal person, Comrade Solomon Ayobami Abel, Chairman, NANS JCC Osun. You remain a rock of support. Your constant push, maturity, and calm handling of every situation gave me hope and courage to continue standing.

To my man of peace, Hon. Comr. Aderoju Bashiru Oladejo, the SSA to the Governor on Student Matters you are truly a leader that deserves the title “leader of leaders.” You believe in dialogue and peaceful resolution rather than conflict. Through you, I extend my gratitude to the Governor of Osun State for his understanding and swift intervention in this issue.

The Honourable Commissioner for Education deserves a special and separate recognition. Sir, you have shown what it means to be a true father and mentor to students in Osun State. Your calmness, patience, and fatherly handling of sensitive student issues speak volumes of your leadership. We felt your presence, even when unseen. Your door was open when others closed theirs for that, I remain sincerely grateful.

To Hon. Dikrillah Bajepade, sir, you are highly appreciated. 🙏🏽

Although you once counted me ungrateful a few days ago, I truly understand it came from your shock and the things you had heard before the truth was clear.

But believe me, sir, we were never ungrateful; it was the management that stayed unyielding until the whole matter escalated.

Daddy sir, you are deeply appreciated.

Your efforts, your calls, your concern all were seen and felt, even when others failed to see your hand in the process.

You’ve always stood for your people, and this one wasn’t different.

Respect, sir. one love, one struggle, one voice.

Let me take my time to deeply appreciate Hon. Chief Adeniyi Ismail Oluwatosin. Sir, your intervention in  engagement and your consistency in ensuring the truth was heard all of these made a massive difference.

You didn’t just speak for us; you stood with us. Your courage and influence gave weight to our cause. You are truly a blessing to the student community and a model for leaders who want progress, not power. I’ll forever appreciate your energy, your mentorship, and your firm belief that young people deserve fairness and a voice in the system. You’re not just a chief by title  you’re a chief by impact.

And to those whose names I might have missed  please know that your contribution is not forgotten. Every little act of support counted.

Finally, It’s never a failure when someone forgets to recognize your effort  because true recognition comes from the impact you made.

With the reinstatement letter now confirmed and backdated to May 5, it’s clear that the government had already done its part. The delay came from management, but now that peace has returned, we thank them too  especially

Mr Akinrinade, Acting Students Affairs Officer, for helping bring this to rest.

While the issue is now resolved and peace restored, let’s not forget the union election ahead.

Let it be peaceful, purposeful, and free from heavy political hands.

As we’ve been informed, the management will soon lift the election ban, A directive from our one and only Commissioner for Education, a man of wisdom and fairness.

Let’s approach it with maturity, unity, and the true spirit of student leadership

no bitterness, no division, just progress for the union and the campus at large.

I remain forever loyal to the system, committed to the student body, and proud to serve as the PRO of The Axis.

In struggle, in loyalty, and in unity,

✍🏽 Comrade Ibraheem Ayomide Alabi
