PRESS RELEASE
SUN-30/11/2025
The entire Students Constituency in Osun State under the leadership of COMR SOLOMON AYOBAMI ABEL, expresses profound congratulations to His Excellency, Senator Nurudeen Adeleke, on the remarkable attainment of *three impactful years in office*.
Your administration has undeniably ushered in a new era in Osun State an era marked by infrastructural rebirth, policy restructuring, and a renewed sense of governmental direction. The visible transformations across critical sectors of the state remain commendable and worthy of acknowledgment. From road rehabilitation to healthcare revitalization, from public service reforms to community-level empowerment, your strides have boldly redefined governance within these three years.
We salute your infrastructural vision, particularly the strategic capital projects that have reshaped both urban and rural landscapes. The stability, continuity, and intentional investment in physical development across Osun reflect a leadership that is both focused and deeply committed to legacy-building.
However, Your Excellency, while we acknowledge these laudable milestones, we must also empirically highlight the gaps that continue to widen within the students community and our various campuses to the Government. Over the past three years, *students inclusivity in government interventions has been notably minimal*, leaving many of our pressing concerns unattended.
Our campuses still battle with infrastructural shortages, logistical challenges, mobility difficulties, and welfare-based constraints that require bold governmental interventions. Issues affecting the Students Constituency remain pending, and the vibrancy of the youth population, often celebrated as the engine of state development has not been fully integrated into the administrative blueprint of this tenure.
As Your Excellency enters *the remaining years of this administration*, we boldly describe this phase as *a new beginning of a renewed era*. We sincerely plead for *optimal inclusion of students in your programs, policymaking processes, and developmental agenda*. The future of Osun cannot be built without adequate incorporation of those who will inherit that future.
At this juncture, we respectfully draw your attention to critical requests that have remained abandoned for Years, causing waves of concern and uncertainty within the students community;
*PENDING REQUESTS AND UNFULFILLED COMMITMENTS*
1. The Iree–Ada Road Project
This road remains a major artery for students and residents, yet its state continues to pose danger and hardship.
2. The Promised 5km Road per Campus
A giant vision that remains unexecuted across our institutions, leaving our campuses disconnected from the infrastructural growth experienced elsewhere in the state.
3. The Mobility Bus
A promised logistic support system for students mobility, still pending and urgently needed.
4. Official Recognition and Support for Students Leaders
Engagements have stalled, leaving legitimate student bodies without the tools and platforms necessary to complement your developmental strides.
Your Excellency, we plead for a considerable and compassionate reconsideration of these concerns. Addressing them will not only strengthen the bond between your administration and the students constituency, but also ensure that we, too, can proudly count ourselves among the achieving leaders under your tenure.
We remain partners in progress, ready to support, ready to contribute, and ready to work with your government for the advancement of Osun State.
We congratulate you once again, sir, and look forward with optimism to a final year marked by deeper inclusion, meaningful interventions, and shared accomplishments.
