• 900 Candidates Allegedly Issued Backdated Results

Fresh controversy has erupted at Osun State Polytechnic (OSPOLY), Iree, over allegations that the institution is operating an illegal 'Summer School' programme in collaboration with an Ede-based firm, Ganaf Technologies, allegedly sponsored by the Chief of Staff to Governor Ademola Adeleke, Alhaji Kazeem Akinleye.

According to the allegations, the programme allows former students who previously failed to graduate, regardless of how many years ago they left the institution, to register for classes held over three to four Fridays and Saturdays before sitting examinations.

Those who complete the exercise are allegedly declared to have passed and are subsequently issued results and certificates backdated to their original graduation dates.

Sources familiar with the matter claim that about 900 candidates have allegedly benefited from the programme.

Ganaf Technologies was recently mentioned in a publication by the President of the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS), who reportedly accused it of involvement in questionable activities.

Stakeholders are now calling on the Federal Ministry of Education and the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE) to urgently investigate the allegations.
