The Accord Party candidate for Oriade/Obokun Federal Constituency in the 2027 general elections, Barr. Pelumi Olajengbesi, has cautioned residents of Ipetu-Ijesa and the entire Ijesa North Federal Constituency against collecting N20,000 to swear oaths at shrines for political purposes.

Olajengbesi, while addressing a mammoth crowd of supporters in Ipetu-Ijesa around 9 p.m, also donated a sum of N20 million to boost community development efforts in the town.

He assured the people that he sees himself as one of them and remains dedicated to improving their welfare and advancing community development.

He stressed that his contributions to the area were not driven by political ambition, noting that he had consistently supported community development long before his decision to seek elective office.

The legal practitioner cautioned residents against allowing politicians to lure them to shrines for oath-taking over a meagre N20,000, insisting that true leadership should be built on trust and genuine service.

He also commended the people of Ipetu-Ijesa for their support for Governor Ademola Adeleke’s administration and the Accord Party in Osun State during the last election, despite what he described as intimidation from the opposition.

Olajengbesi expressed profound appreciation to his supporters across Ijesa North Federal Constituency, particularly in Ipetu-Ijesa, including party leaders, mobilisers, and other stakeholders, for their unwavering support in his journey to securing the party’s candidacy.
