The Pelumi Olajengbesi Campaign Organization (POCO) has asked Hon. Wole Oke, member representing Obokun/Oriade Federal Constituency, to pity women, children and release hospital equipment belonging to the Federal Government in his custody.

The appeal was made after Hon. Wole Oke hurriedly released a batch of hospital equipment in his custody, following a viral video of youths and women decrying the terrible state of a primary health centre in Esa-Oke, his hometown.

According to POCO, the appeal became necessary following growing concerns and complaints from residents across several communities who claim that Federal Government medical equipment has not reached the health facilities they were meant for.

As a campaign organization, we appeal to Hon. Wole Oke not to play politics with hospital equipment. Keeping hospital equipment away from communities or health centers is dangerous, a grave injustice to our people and a denial of care to our mothers, children and the aged in Obokun/Oriade Federal Constituency.

We stand in solidarity with our mothers and youths who are worried about the whereabouts of these government hospital equipment. Where is the equipment? Which towns received them? Which health centres are they in today? These are questions troubling the mind of an average Ijesa North constituent.

As a responsible campaign organization, we beg Hon. Wole Oke, in the name of God we serve, in the interest of transparency and the health of our people: publish a list of all Federal Government hospital equipment in his custody, towns and health centres that are beneficiaries and immediately release any equipment still in his custody to the communities they were meant for.

The campaign organization also called on traditional rulers, community leaders, and youth groups to join in demanding the release and account of this hospital equipment, for the sake of our mothers and children.
