The National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS), Joint Campus Council (JCC) Osun Axis, acknowledges and appreciates the management and governing council of Osun State University for the commendable decision to present an official vehicle to the Students’ Union President.
This development reflects a leadership that clearly understands that student representation is not merely ceremonial but a serious responsibility that requires coordination, visibility, and institutional encouragement. When institutions intentionally strengthen student leadership structures, they ultimately promote stability, cooperation, and mutual respect within the academic community.

Furthermore, the leadership of NANS JCC Osun is using this medium to call on the Osun State Ministry of Education, under the supervision of the Honourable Commissioner for Education, to urgently engage the management of other tertiary institutions across Osun State to emulate this progressive step. Student leaders across campuses deserve institutional support that will enhance their capacity to serve effectively.
Consequently, NANS JCC Osun gives a clear and responsible call for compliance, urging all tertiary institution managements within the state to adopt similar measures that strengthen student leadership and welfare. Failure to give this matter the necessary attention within a reasonable timeframe may compel the student body to explore legitimate democratic actions to ensure fairness across campuses.
NANS JCC Osun therefore considers this initiative a progressive milestone capable of inspiring institutions across Osun State to adopt policies that empower student leadership structures and strengthen collaboration between management and students.
