Otunba Kehinde Ariyo, Convener of Itura Volunteers, has presented a car to Saint Matthew Cathedral in an expression of gratitude to Almighty God and a demonstration of his commitment to supporting the work of the Church.
The presentation, which took place today, Sunday, October 25, 2026, reflects Otunba Ariyo’s appreciation for God’s faithfulness and his desire to contribute meaningfully to the service of God and humanity.
The donation goes beyond the presentation of a vehicle, symbolising a heart of thanksgiving and a commitment to using one's blessings to support worthy causes. The vehicle is expected to assist the Cathedral in its activities and contribute to the fulfilment of its spiritual and community responsibilities.
Speaking through this gesture, the underlying message is one of gratitude, generosity, and Christian stewardship—the recognition that blessings received can also become instruments of service to others.
The initiative is consistent with the biblical principle in 2 Corinthians 9:7 (KJV), which states: “For God loveth a cheerful giver.” Similarly, Matthew 10:8 (KJV) declares: “Freely ye have received, freely give.”
As Convener of Itura Volunteers, Otunba Ariyo has emphasised the importance of service, compassion, and giving back. The presentation serves as a reminder that meaningful contributions to society can take different forms, including practical support for religious institutions that play important roles in spiritual development and community life.
Itura Volunteers expresses its appreciation for this gesture and prays that the vehicle will serve Saint Matthew Cathedral faithfully, supporting its activities and the continued service of its congregation.
The organisation also encourages individuals and institutions to embrace a culture of generosity, using their resources and opportunities to make positive contributions to their communities.
May Almighty God continue to bless Saint Matthew Cathedral, strengthen its leadership and congregation, and replenish every hand committed to the advancement of His work.
To God alone be all the glory.
