The Governor's Assistance on Student Affairs, Comrade Oladejo Basiru Aderoju, assured students that they will indeed be included as beneficiaries of the palliatives.
In a press release personally signed by Com. Basiru, popularly known as Bash Aluta, the SSA to governor on student matters, he stated that students will definitely benefit from the palliatives to be distributed by the state government.
He emphasized that the government has always prioritized the interests of students, stating that even before the students wrote to the government, the OSUN State government, under the leadership of our esteemed and hardworking Governor, had already included the students' constituency in the sharing formula. They will be called upon to receive their share at the appropriate time.
Com. Basiru also commended the leadership of the student movements in Osun State for prioritizing the interests of their fellow colleagues. He expressed admiration for the press release by the leadership of NANS JCC and noted that these leaders demonstrated ideological guidance by addressing the concerns of students articulately in their memo.
He also thanked Governor Ademola Adeleke for being a father and a great leader to the students. He highlighted that Osun now has a father figure who prioritizes the interests of students and everyone in the state.
"As a government, we are committed to working with the leadership of the students in the state for the betterment of all," he concluded.
